Happy new year. As voters in Iowa get ready to choose their candidates we should all take some time to make our Northwest voices heard. Many times political discussions happen in our homes, place of business or anywhere there is a group of talkative people and a space where they feel comfortable talking. How do we create spaces that will facilitate the free flow of ideas. Color, texture, lighting, and comfortable seating can all play a role in creating a special atmosphere. Try to be aware of where you feel comfortable talking with friends and family. Is it a certain room in your house, a restaurant, park or other special place? What elements in that space do you think contribute in making it the place for dialogue and discussions. By being aware of those elements we can attempt to create just the right space for solving the problems of the universe-or at least an intense discussion among friends.
We hope to make the store more than just a place to sell tables and chairs. Solving problems and helping to create special places is part of our mission.
